Alistair is the founder and president of The Aspirational Alliance, an organization committed to providing individuals and corporations with communication techniques and coaching tools that enable them to realize their aspirations and accomplish their goals.

Born in South Africa, raised and educated in Zambia and Zimbabwe, Alistair has spent most of his life travelling the globe in search of adventure. Along the way he has achieved the rank of Distinguished Toastmaster, the highest award of this international speakers organization. He also holds the distinction of membership in the rarified air of the hundred million dollar sales club of real estate agents.

During his twenty year career as an agent in Hawaii his client list included many of the world’s rich and famous, amongst them the author Michael Crichton, who until his recent passing was both his mentor and close friend. Alistair’s Hollywood connections grew to include ER’s executive producer, John Wells, who even fashioned and named one of the hit show’s characters after Al. Additionally he is an award winning writer whose feature article on surviving Hurricane Iniki won first place in the Hawaii Publishers Association Annual Pa’i Awards contest.

A dedicated thrill seeker, Alistair has surfed Hawaii’s biggest waves, rafted down Africa’s wildest rivers and climbed its highest mountain twice, the first time as a young teenager. He’s bungee jumped off the spectacular Victoria Falls bridge, ridden on horseback across the Masai Mara, the Serengeti and the Okavango delta and pioneered snowboarding in Aspen on the slopes that now host the X-Games. A member of the Kilimanjaro Society, his enduring passion is the preservation of African wild life and he is firmly committed to the promotion of this cause.

A resident of Bend for the past two years, Alistair is part of a growing number of stand up paddle boarders to enjoy the many lakes and rivers of Central Oregon, and he can often be seen paddling the Deschutes accompanied by his border collie, Nakoa.

Please welcome Alistair John Paterson.
